My Present for March 1st – Quilled Simple Flower Arrangement

This year I got a special present for March 1st: it was this website. From now on, I have my own playground where I can share my newly discovered passion: the art of rolling strips of paper – quilling.
And since spring is not here yet, I want my first post to be a reminder of the sunny days.

I used 2mm (5/64″) wide strips of paper for the flowers and leaves and 6mm (1/4″) – 8mm (5/16″) wide strips for the fringed flowers.
All paper strips and fringed flowers are hand-cut. The frame is made from 300g/sm cardboard. The total size of the picture is 19cm x 16cm (7 1/2″ x 6 5/16″), and inside the frame 14cm x 11cm (5 1/2″ x 4 1/2″).

Happy Quilling!

Just popped in to have a closer look. Besides your quilling, I love the fact that you made your own frame. I was wondering if you have a tutorial for that frame. Would be a great help. Thanks ! 🙂
