Quilled ‘Thank you!’ Paper Graphic

Hey All!

Last week (or should I say last year :D) my little Facebook Page reached 1000 Likes! No need to say it made me feel really happy and what better way to say thank you than with a… quilled “thank you” paper graphic.

So a big ‘Thank you!’ to all you lovely people who visit my page, take time to comment or ‘Like’ my artwork.

Quilled "Thank You!" Paper Graphic

I quilled the letters on a A4 paper sheet, so the aprox. size is 21cm * 30 cm. I used 5mm wide paper strips, hand cut from 120gsm paper. It took me 2 days to complete this quilled piece and even though it looks pretty basic, shaping each letter was incredibly time consuming.

Wishing everybody all the best in 2013, many creative ideas and inspiration!

Until next time: ‘Happy Quilling!’

Yours truly,

Thank you, Pritesh! I owe to you my newly found passion for quilling letters! 🙂

I filled the letters with little swirls I made using 1cm-2cm long paper strips, a few shades darker than paper I used to contour the text.

      Hugs!

I absolutely love quilling but am a little intiminated. I love the paper graphic quilling and really want to learn how to do it. Where is the best place to go to learn?

Thank you, Sella! Quillography is difficult indeed, for example, it took me 2 days to finish this simple project. Just keep practicing and you’ll get better in no time!
