Quilled Daisies, Dandelions and Berries – Flowers in My Heart III.
This is my third heart decorated with quilled flowers and because I can bet it won’t be the last, I decided to include them all in a series titled “Flowers in My Heart”. I am sure every quiller out there will resonate with these words, as flowers are in the center of most of our artworks.
For the initial design I also quilled wheat and yellow poppies, but as I didn’t have enough space to place them all and I feel that less is always more, I eventually included only the daisies, berries and the fern-like leaves in the final arrangement.
For the daisy petals I used hand cut 1mm wide paper strips, and for the berries, 2mm wide paper strips. Everything was stemmed with wires to create a realistic 3D effect. The big heart-shaped frame on which I mounted all my quilled elements is made of thick, floral wire. I tried to keep the flower sizes as close as possible to the natural ones, so the diameter of the large daisy is approximately 4cm, the small one is 3.5cm and the berries measure around 0.9cm. I took a picture with the floral arrangement on my hands so you can get an idea on the actual size:
I hope you enjoyed my display of quilled daisies, dandelions and berries! In case you’ve missed my other posts with hearts decorated with quilled flowers, here is where you can find them: quilled summer heart with wheat, daisies, strawberry flowers and rose hip and quilled jasmines and forget-me-nots in a heart.
Thank you for your visit! Happy Quilling!

Awsome work manu.. the daisy look natutal ..and how didi u make those leaves
Very nice, as always! I like the way you are able to keep everything clean, without glue stains, I’m still working on doing that on my quilled things :). I like the white daisies, and the other yellow ones in one of your other projects… I’ve been trying to figure out how you make them and then I read your answers to some of the comments… do you use only one strip of paper for each petal of the daisies?
