A few weeks ago I was telling you about an order I received to quill some blossom branches. I didn’t get the chance to take photos with the finished frames, so I will show you my first quilled apple blossom branch I made and kept for myself.
I really liked the pictures with white flowers and pink buds, so I decided to try to quill them.
For the flowers and buds I used 160gsm paper, hand cut into 1mm paper strips. The leaves are made of crepe paper. The inside cut of the passparetout measures 9.5cm * 14.5cm. The quilled apple blossom branch is so tiny, it actually fits in my palm:
It looks so much better in reality, it’s frustrating I can’t manage to properly capture it with my camera. I hope you like it anyway!
Some of my other Spring blossoms: “Quilled Cherry Blossom Branch” and “Quilled Apple Blossom Wreath“.
Happy Quilling!

WOweee Manu!! Another masterpiece!!! Love that green you use for the leaves. I envy your patients Manu to make those leaves with the wire centers (I am assuming)which require you having to cut two for each one!! But your patients always pays off with such great results. My hats off to you.
Chris
Thank you very much Chris and I apologize for the late reply!
Yes, you are right, 2 layers of paper are required for each leaf. To be honest, the hardest part of this project was to put together all the leaves, flowers and buds in order to shape the little branch so that it looks realistic. I’m really happy you liked it!
Hugs!

Multumesc, Cris! Daca nu ma insel, am adus ramura cu flori cand am venit in vizita la tine mai demult. Ma bucur ca inca iti place! 🙂
Pupici!
Your work is fabulous Manuela 🙂 how did you make the flowers? Are they just tight coils shaped into a teardrop? Or is there more to it than that?
Thank you so much, Tina! Yes, they are just tight coils pinched in one point to take the shape of teardrops. Hope it helps!
Happy Quilling!
