Flowers for Taurus – Paper Quilling Pink Wild Rose and Daisies
I am delighted to announce the release of my Zodiac Series of paper quilling floral art! I was inspired to start this collection by one of my customers who needed a gift for a friend born under the Capricorn sign. While it might be true that custom orders pose their own challenges, they also provide a great source of inspiration. For instance, some of my best project ideas started out as requests from customers! So I have decided to go further and create a small frame with flowers corresponding to each zodiac sign. Thus, next on my list is this piece with flowers for Taurus – wild rose and daisies.
Even though I would have liked to begin with the first sign of the zodiac, Aries, it was a busy winter for me. As such, I did not get around to launch this project until a few weeks ago.
I dedicate this artwork to those born under the sign of Taurus. As birth flowers for this zodiac sign, I chose to include a pink wild rose and white daisies, symbolizing the sense of independence and endurance of these strong, grounded individuals. I used the soft pink, forest green and pure white to create this piece of décor. The colors are representative for the romantic, genuine and intelligent (not to mention, financially wise!) Taurus.
So, here it is, dear Taurus, your own season’s greetings which I celebrate with this beautiful flowers décor!
A few technical details about this piece:
When I make the delicate petals for the flowers, I use high quality acid-free paper cut into 1 mm wide paper strips. In order to create lifelike leaves, I like to work with a special type of handmade paper. But most importantly, I stem each flower and leaf with floral wire to create a rich 3D effect. Finally, I set the whole floral arrangement in a white shadowbox frame, measuring 15 x 20 x 3.5 cm (6” x 8” x 1 3/8”). The frame is enclosed by a sheet of organic glass for protection against dust.
For my Taurus readers, I would love to know your opinion! Are these flowers and colors appealing to you?

Thank you for your visit and do come back soon!
